BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE is available from our field technicians to provide on-site, hands-on technical assistance in all areas of management, finance, and operations for water and wastewater systems alike.

TRAINING SESSIONS are held periodically throughout the entire state of Illinois and are geared to the small rural water and wastewater systems. These training sessions are offered to you at no charge and you will receive credit hours if you stay for the entire session. If your system has a location that might be used as a training site, please pass the information along to the IRWA office. We want to make our training as accessible as possible for our members. Guest speakers provide information that your operators or decision makers need, at a level of understanding geared to the majority of people. Training is kept informal to provide each participant the opportunity to contribute information or ask questions as the training progresses.

ON-SITE TRAINING This type of training is available to members and
non-members alike, however our members receive a discount. 

	Emergency Preparedness sessions are one-day training courses to instruct you how to develop an Emergency Operating Plan for your system.
	CERTIFICATION OVERVIEW COURSES are offered for both water and wastewater certification. These courses are designed to help you pass your tests for A-D and I-IV.

ANNUAL TECHNICAL CONFERENCE is a three-day event held each February not only filled with water and wastewater training sessions, but our Associate members are also present displaying their most recent products. The conference is also attended by members and non-members, however our members receive a discount.

NORTHERN CONFERENCE  is a smaller two-day conference held in northern Illinois. This conference is also filled with informative training and exhibitors.

 PUBLICATIONS

	Technical Assistance Bulletin (T.A.B.) is a monthly newsletter sent to our members in an effort to get information to them concerning training updates, legislative information, associate member news, system news and the latest update in regulations and technology.
	INDUSTRY CONTACT BOOK is a complimentary reference book for our members compiled by the office once a year. Listed in the book are consultants, suppliers, engineers, and other industry members of IRWA who offer services to system members of the state association. The listings include company information such as names, address, phone numbers, contact person(s), and services or products offered.
	IRWA WATER WAYS - Our quarterly magazine. Ask Denise for advertising information.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE LIBRARY is open to our members. Does your system need information on a water or wastewater subject? Perhaps you are experiencing a problem.
